| Your problem | Usually considered | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Small cavity or chipped edge | Tooth colored filling, bonding | Keeps the most natural tooth structure |
| Larger cavity or broken old filling | Inlay or onlay | Stronger than a big filling, less drilling than a crown |
| Cracked tooth, or tooth after root canal | Crown | Covers and protects the whole tooth from splitting |
| Deep pain, swelling or sensitivity to heat | Root canal treatment | Treats infection inside the tooth so it can be kept |
| One missing tooth | Implant or bridge | Implants leave neighboring teeth untouched; a bridge can be faster |
| Most or all teeth missing | All-on-4, implant dentures, dentures | Restores a full arch; options differ in stability and cost |

What is restorative dentistry?
Restorative dentistry repairs or replaces damaged and missing teeth so they work and look natural again. It includes fillings, inlays and onlays, crowns, root canal treatment, bridges, dentures and dental implants.
Do I need a filling, an inlay or a crown?
It depends on how much healthy tooth is left. Small cavities are usually filled, larger ones may need an inlay or onlay, and cracked or root-canal-treated teeth often need a crown for protection. Your dentist decides after an exam and X-rays.
Should I choose an implant or a bridge for a missing tooth?
An implant replaces the root and does not need the neighboring teeth to be reshaped. A bridge is anchored to the teeth on either side and can be finished sooner. We compare both for your case, including bone condition, cost and timing. Read about dental implants.
Can I finish treatment during a short trip to Seoul?
Fillings, inlays, crowns and many root canals can often be completed within a few visits, helped by our in-house lab. Implants usually need a healing period before the final crown, so we plan the visits around your travel dates. Send your X-ray in advance for a realistic timeline.
Does restorative treatment hurt?
Treatment is done under local anesthesia, so most patients feel pressure rather than pain. For anxious patients or longer procedures such as implants, monitored sleep sedation is available.
Does Korean health insurance cover restorative treatment?
We accept Korean National Health Insurance (NHIS). Coverage depends on the treatment, materials and your eligibility, so we confirm what is covered and what you pay before treatment begins.
Do the dentists speak English?
Yes. Consultations and treatment explanations are given in English, with support in Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian and Mongolian.
